Monumental Mechanical Indian Neon Sign American
1950's
Turn your location into a landmark with this unbelievable steel warrior! Not only do both sides light in multi colored neon, but he has mechanical movement as well. The leg is jointed at the hip and knee, and the arm is jointed at the shoulder. A motorized pulley mechanism activate the two limbs in tandem. He free stands on a steel platorm, which was recently built for display. This tomahawk wielding fellow originated from a roadside stop on Route 66 in the Arizona desert. Mechanical neon signs are extremely rare. Most have the animation simply in multiple neon tubes, which flash to create the sense of movement. The only other metal movement sign we know of is the famous cowboy "Vegas Vic", who greets visitors to the downtown area of Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a terrific opportunity to own an important piece of the disappearing regional American landscape. The paint is old, but has been re-done many times over the years. A professional paint refinish is available at an additional cost, if desired.
